Your privacy is important to evertouch® and we recognise the trust you are placing in us through your use of our services. We do everything we can to maintain that trust and we are committed to the protection of your personal information.

We’ve developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our privacy practices and let us know if you have any questions.

What is ‘personal information’?

Personal information is information or an opinion, whether true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. Common examples are an individual’s name, signature, address, telephone number, date of birth, bank account details and commentary or opinion about a person.

What type of information do we collect?

We collect information about you and your interactions with us. When you use our mobile applications or website we may collect information about:

• Geographical location – including IP address

• The type of device you are using – including its operating system.

We use this information to develop more user friendly mobile applications and websites.

The type of personal information we hold about you depends on what you choose to share with us and the type of service(s) we provide to you.

Initially, evertouch® will hold the following personal information:

• Full name

• Primary email address

Depending on the type of service(s) you select we may also hold the following information about you:

• Telephone number

• Physical address

• Occupation or employment information

• Education qualifications

• Date of birth

• Photos or other avatars you have given us.

• Groups, communities or professional associations of which you are a member

• Identification numbers such as driver’s license, passport number or social security number

• Payment card number or bank account details

• Other evertouch® users whom you’ve connected to

• Any other information that you have given us

How does evertouch® use cookies?

A cookie is a small, text-based file used frequently on some websites and portals. They can be permanently stored on your hard drive (persistent cookie) or in your computer’s memory (session cookie).

evertouch® uses session cookies to interact with your browser. They are designed to assist and streamline the exchange of information between your computer’s browser and our computer systems. For example, a session cookie is created after you log in with your user name and password and your access is authenticated. Session cookies assist in validating that evertouch’s servers are communicating with your web browser throughout the time you access the website during the session. When you end the session by logging off or closing the browser, the session cookie is rendered inoperable.

The use of cookies however, is ultimately governed by you as you can choose if and how a cookie can operate by configuring certain preferences and options in your browser. However, cookies need to be enabled if you wish to use our website.

How do we store and secure your personal information?

We take the security of personal information very seriously. Any all your information is stored securely by our service provider using industry standard security technology and processes. We have secured the services of a trusted hosting service, who provide us with industry leading security and controls. We also use SSL to secure any communications between your devices and applications and our host.

Any personal information which we receive directly is only accessible by authorised personnel trained in privacy.

How we use your personal information

The personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on our latest service announcements, software updates, changes to our terms of service and other policy updates.

We may use your personal information to send you important notices such as communications about your account and any purchases you have made. Because this information is important to your interaction with evertouch®, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.

We also use personal information to help us improve our services, and to deliver content, advertising and other associated information that may be relevant to you. If you don’t wish to receive these communications, you can opt out anytime by updating your preferences.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell or pass your information to any third parties for any purpose, except in the conditions described immediately below.

It may be necessary from time to time for evertouch® to disclose by request your personal information with law enforcement agencies and governmental authorities – within or outside your country of residence – for the purposes of legal process or litigation. We may also disclose personal information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, legal or law enforcement, disclosure it is warranted or appropriate.

Syncing Information

We collect information when you sync non-evertouch® content – like your mobile device contacts, calendar or email address book – with your evertouch™ account. We use this information to improve your evertouch® experience and allow you stay connected with your contacts. You can remove your address book and any other synced information whenever you’d like by updating your preferences.

Contacts & Groups

You are responsible for any information you choose to make available to others via evertouch®. When you connect to others or join groups, you should be aware that any information you choose to disclose using these services can be read, collected, and used by those other users and group participants.

Updating your personal information

You can update, correct, or delete your personal information and preferences at any time via our website or mobile applications. This includes deleting all the information we hold about you by deleting your account.

If you choose to close and delete your account, all of your personal information is deleted immediately, completely and securely from our systems.

Some core information which we may be legally required to keep for our records (e.g. name, start date, end date, primary email address) is retained in our archive.

For other personal information we may hold about you, we will provide you with access for any purpose including to request that we correct inaccurate data or delete data – if evertouch® is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous or vexatious, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
